Crohn's Disease: Where's the nearest bathroom?!

I’ve been living with Crohn’s disease for so long, and was diagnosed at such a young age that I don’t remember a time where I could walk into a public washroom, see all stalls in use, and not go into a minor panic attack worrying about it being the day where I instinctively “create” a new washroom in the garbage can...

Having Crohn’s for 19 years hasn’t been an exciting experience (except realizing my diagnosis is about to turn 19 years old, I’m sure I could develop a reason to go drinking) nor has it defined me. It’s encouraged me in a direction where I’ve learned a lot about how to eat, train and live a healthy lifestyle and not taking the things we can’t change in life too seriously.

Despite being sick, I actually consider myself lucky to have been blessed with a family and close friends that have been there and helped me get to where I am today, because there are many others dealing with much worse, with much less.
